This reunion holds significant importance to our unit as it will be 40 years since the end of our deployment in SVN All members who have attended our previous reunions are on our data base and will therefore be contacted in the not to distant future with expressions of interest as to whether they will attend or not, we have a few members who have not participated in the past and asking other associations to put a notice in their newsletters may attract them to get in touch with us with a view to attending. RETIRED OFFICERS LUNCHEON - QLD
Each year, on NOV 11, retired Officers living in SE QLD gather for a lunch at Southport.
Our numbers vary between 60 and 80 and I must say as each year passes, our numbers decline.
A couple of years ago it was discovered (I think by Paul Asbury) that one Paul Davis was holidaying in this area on the
day and would have been delighted to join us had he known of the gathering. Paul Davis is now on the list and he recieves his invitation each year.
I have attached the list of names and the letter for last year that explains the event. You will no doubt be delighted to read the list.
I understand Peter is the president of the NSW and ACT RACT Association and that Geoff and James are contacts for Victoria..
I wonder if you would be able to promulgate among your members that, should they be in this area,they are most welcome to join us.
It is an Officer only function.
